A flat collar or harness on dogs please; no training collars of any type.
Instructor: Sherrie Start - I've been training dogs since 1991 and have been teaching at the kennel club most of those years. Bernese Mtn Dogs are my main breed, and I have trained Bichons giving me experience in large and small dogs. The CGC is almost a passion for me. It is, I feel, a good thing for all dogs to show they are well socialized and have some basic training.
Class Description: Trick Dog Class centers on the AKC Trick Dog Program. AKC Trick Dog is one of AKC’s most popular training programs because trick training is fun for both dogs and their trainers. Tricks are behaviors that are designed to entertain others. AKC Trick Dog ranges from very simple novice tricks such as teaching your dog to get in a box on cue, to complex tricks that are several behaviors chained together in one exciting sequence. Trick Dog students will have the opportunity to title their dogs at three levels - Novice (TKN), Intermediate (TKI), and Advanced (TKA). A Trick Dog title involves mastery of 10 tricks. A CGC title counts as 5 tricks towards the Novice Title.
